Hickory Shad

The Shad are here. I haven't made it up there yet but dad got out last weekend and had a great day up there. Spent about an hour getting 32 shad and then caught a 27 and 47 on the way back to the dock. If you can find a day between the rain and flooded water the shad are there to be caught.

3/27/2010 Fishing Report

Saturday we fished the James looking for Blue cats. It was a weired day. I had a little trouble at first with bait but at my second bait spot I got more that enough. The fish were a little difficult to figure out. We ended up with the fish in the 20's a 23,25 and 28. I'm not sure why we couldn't find that big one but we tried our best. It was a good day and good weather though. I look forward to taking yall out again!

Finally a new Report

Sorry for the lack of reports but I just haven't had any to give. We have had so much snow and cold weather this winter I figured I would just wait it out. I went out Tuesday and had a pretty good day. We caught 4 fish totaling 122 pounds. A 24,28,30 and a 40. The 28 and 30 came as a double. It was a great trip as always with this group and I hope they continue to come every year!

Now I even have a video that was taken with those new sunglasses with the video camera built in. I have edited out the bad stuff in this video the best I could but it's not perfect.

Still Fishing....

Well not this week. The river reached 18 feet earlier this week and we are getting snow this weekend. We will be ready as soon as things warm up just a bit to hit it hard again. We are currently booking trips for spring cat trips as well as Shad fishing.

Pamunkey Trip

Today was COLD, WET and WINDY! but we still caught some fish. Water was extremly high so we took a while getting bait. Once that was done we hit the first spot. Started out with a nice 20 pounder. The next spot produced the big fish for the day which was 26 pounds. Ended up the day heading back down river to try and find some stripers but it didn't happen. Tough day but still a success.




Went hunting after we got done fishing and I had wore just about all my warm clothes while we fished so I didn't want to were them in the woods. I froze on the stand after freezen all day on the water...not fun!

Trip Sunday Oct 11.

Today I took out 5 on the Catfish Cadillac. Big fish for the day was 33. Fun group.
